How to Ship with Makers Air
Step 1: Create Your Free Freight Account With Us

This will help ensure that we have the proper information to ship your packages quickly to you.
Step 2: Address your packages correctly
When you ship to us, it is important the label is addressed using this format:
YOUR FULL NAME HERE

*IMPORTANT! Do not put our name on the package. Your name on the package must be the exact match of your name registered with Click2Clear.
Step 3: Track your Packages
We ask customers to track their packages from the store to our hanger and let us know when they are delivered. Email us 24 hours after ALL your packages show as “delivered” to let us know you are ready for your shipment to be prepared for delivery.
Step 4: Pay your Invoice
- Once your shipment is finished being prepared, we will email you the invoice for payment.
- It is very important for you to review the invoice carefully and be sure that all the tracking numbers you are expecting in this shipment are there. Once you have double-checked the tracking numbers, simply click the link to pay your invoice.
- Upon receipt of your payment, your shipment will go out on our next available flight for delivery to you!
- Please note all delivery times are calculated from the date the package(s), documentation, and full payment have been received.
Additional Steps to Ship to Staniel Cay Only
If you are shipping to Staniel Cay, follow all the steps outlined above. In addition, we will need further documentation from you.
Be sure you are registered with Click2Clear
Click2Clear is the Bahamas Customs Department’s official online customs processing system used for importing and exporting goods and clearing cargo into the Bahamas. You must have an active Click2Clear account in order to ship with Makers Air to Staniel Cay.

Pricing & Delivery Windows
All Makers Air freight will be shipped on a “space available” basis and is subject to size and weight limitations.
Regular Bahamas shipments:
- 5-7 day delivery window
- $2.00 per pound with a $35.00 minimum per shipment
- $9.00 processing fee
Express Bahamas shipments:
- 2-3 day delivery window
- $2.50 per pound with a $50.00 minimum per shipment.
- $9.00 processing fee
- Does not guarantee same-day service
Priority Rush Bahamas shipments:
- 1-2 day delivery window
- $3.50 per pound with a $65.00 minimum
- $9.00 processing fee
- Priority Rush does not guarantee same-day service.
- All “Priority Rush” shipments MUST be at our facility by 11:30 am for inclusion on our 12;45 pm flights and by 3:30 pm THE DAY PRIOR for inclusion on our 6:45 am flights.
Guaranteed Bahamas Cargo Delivery shipments (upon availability)
If available, you may purchase “Guaranteed Cargo Delivery,” which guarantees your freight shipment will be sent on a specific flight of your choosing.
From January to November:
- Up to 25lbs: $87.50
- Up to 50lbs: $162.50
- Up to 100 lbs: $300
During the month of December:
- Up to 25lbs: $112.50
- Up to 50lbs: $212.50
- Up to 100 lbs: $400
All “Guaranteed Cargo Delivery” shipments MUST be at our facility by 11:30 am for inclusion on our 12:45 pm flights and by 3:30 pm THE DAY PRIOR for inclusion on our 6:45 am flights.

Freight forwarding is the process of shipping goods by air from Makers Air to the Bahamas. Makers Air Freight coordinates the handling, documentation, and transportation of your cargo to its destination.

Yes. All freight shipments require a freight account to be on file. This ensures accurate documentation, billing, and customs processing. You can create your free account here.

Each shipment must include:
- Commercial invoice
- Signed C44 form
- Registration with Click2Clear to receive unaccompanied goods
- Signed Makers Air credit card authorization form
- Copy of passport or valid ID

For regular (non-expedited) shipments, freight is calculated at $2.00 per pound, based on actual weight or dimensional weight, whichever is greater. We charge a $35 minimum for all shipments including a $9 processing fee.
To calculate dimensional weight, we use the standard dimensional weight formula:
Length × Width × Height ÷ 166 -

We operate daily flights to multiple Bahamian destinations. Flight schedules vary by island.

Yes, perishable items can be shipped. A Guaranteed Cargo Block is required for all perishable shipments.

Some hazardous materials may be accepted with advance notice, proper packaging, and required documentation. Approval is required prior to shipment.

Once your freight has shipped, you will receive an email notification. The manifest number is not available to us until Bahamian Customs approves release of the flight.

Due to space limitations, freight can only be held for a very limited time. Storage fees may apply after 14 days. Freight left beyond 30 days without notice may be subject to disposal.

Yes. Per Bahamian regulations, all unaccompanied goods must be cleared through a licensed broker in the Bahamas.

Staniel Cay customers will receive one invoice from Makers Air that includes all duties, VAT, and processing fees.
Customers shipping to all other islands must handle their fees directly through a broker at the port of entry. -
